Highwinds Appoints Three New Vice Presidents to Its Management Team George Antoniou, Bob Bosco and Mark Hayes Bring Valuable Technology Experience, Network Innovation and Marketing Savvy to One of the Industry's Strongest Leadership Teams WINTER PARK, Fla. - July 18, 2007 - Highwinds Network Group, Inc., a global provider of content distribution solutions, today announced that it has appointed three new members to its leadership team. George Antoniou, Bob Bosco and Mark Hayes have been brought on board as vice presidents, joining a highly respected group of professionals responsible for managing and delivering CDN services to Highwinds' customers around the world. The three new executives bring to the team several decades of experience with such companies as Akamai, VitalStream (now Internap), Comcast, Charter Communications, SAVVIS and Macromedia (now Adobe). In their respective positions, Antoniou and Bosco will each play a key role in ensuring efficient and reliable network operations, while Hayes will oversee the promotion of the company's solutions-oriented offerings and the rollout of Highwinds' innovative market strategy. "George, Bob and Mark bring to the team diverse experiences and specialized talents garnered from several decades of working with some of the industry's most reputable and successful companies," said Steve Miller, president of Highwinds. George Antoniou has joined Highwinds as the vice president of operations, bringing with him more than 16 years of technical operations management experience. His leadership in the architectural, process and organizational engineering of fast-growing networks complements Highwinds' vision of continually expanding the global network infrastructure to meet evolving client needs. Prior to joining Highwinds, Antoniou served as vice president of operations for VitalStream, which was acquired by Internap, and then continued at Internap as vice president of CDN operations. In addition, Antoniou previously served as operations director for Akamai, where he managed a team in designing and deploying the industry's first CDN product. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Boston University. As vice president of IP operations, Bob Bosco leverages over 20 years of data networking experience to ensure the reliability and efficiency of Highwinds' network operations. He came to Highwinds from Comcast, where he served as the national director of operations, overseeing new product delivery and enhancements. He was the key executive responsible for coordinating the migration strategy for Time Warner and Adelphia property acquisitions, in which three million video and two million HSD subscribers were migrated in 94 markets. Bosco has also served in high-level operations management roles for Charter Communications, CoreExpress, SAVVIS and WilTel/WorldCom. Bosco began his communications career in the U.S. Air Force, managing mission-critical data networks in direct support of the National Command Authorities missile warning and National Security Agency intelligence communities. Mark Hayes, vice president of marketing and business development, is responsible for developing and executing Highwinds' go-to-market strategy, overseeing the channel-centric sales model, and product managing the StrikeTracker™ dashboard application. He also handles key partner relationships and strategic accounts, with an eye on growing the Highwinds solutions base. Prior to joining Highwinds, Hayes served as director of OEM sales for Macromedia, which was acquired by Adobe, where he was responsible for building the CDN channel for Flash video streaming by securing licensing deals with Akamai, Limelight Networks, VitalStream and Mirror Image. Hayes has held several key positions in sales management and business development for high-tech companies over the past 20 years.
