StrikeTracker provides byte-accurate analytics within 15 to 30 seconds of
actual content delivery. With other CDNs, the report generation process
generally consists of collecting raw server logs at the edge and hauling them
back to a central location for batch processing. Because their logging solutions
are batch-based, the best case delay is 15 minutes, and large traffic spikes
degrade the best case significantly. We are very skilled at building systems
that maintain near-instant functionality while scaling to accommodate massive
loads during peak periods.
Key metrics available in StrikeTracker include total transfer, transfer rate,
completion ratio, duration and hits.

Our real-time analytics also assist us in billing. When we were planning our
CDN, we recognized that a common complaint in the industry is that the reporting
data and the billing data frequently didn’t match. We realized that we could
improve this situation by building our billing system directly on top of our
analytics system. This means you not only have byte-accurate reporting in
StrikeTracker, but you also have byte-accurate billing data.
