Highwinds Network Group, Inc., a global provider of content distribution solutions, today announced that it has welcomed two key executives to its growing team. Michael Brownstein and David Barmann, recognized leaders in the engineering and management of fast-growing data networks, joined Highwinds as a result of the company's recent acquisition of TowerGrove Technology Partners. Brownstein serves as Highwinds' vice president of network services and is responsible for overseeing the company's peering and transit planning, and overall network deployment and administration. Barmann, one of the nation's most forward-thinking technologists, has been brought on board as Highwinds' director of network engineering; he holds a patent related to Internet routing and ensuring quality of service. Brownstein and Barmann both played instrumental roles in the development of SAVVIS' hosting, network and application technologies, and together, they bring to Highwinds nearly four decades of experience developing and managing high-performance global networks.
